2020 Volunteer Opportunities

Support Special Olympics New Mexico
by volunteering in 2020

Special Olympics New Mexico (SONM) serves more than 3,700 athletes statewide. The largest “Area” served includes Albuquerque and its surrounding cities, and it’s called “Area 5”.

SONM has many day-of-competition (day-of-event) volunteer opportunities throughout the year and throughout the state. We look forward to meeting you and having you as part of our volunteer crew!

Day-of-event volunteering allows you to pick one or more shifts during a competition and is an opportunity for new and seasoned volunteers looking to make an impact in the lives of Special Olympics athletes. It’s an experience you will cherish! Individual volunteers and groups of volunteers are welcome*.

*Email Rebecca Rainsberger at rainsberger@sonm.org with questions and to discuss group sizes for shifts.

UPDATE: The 2020 State Summer Games has been cancelled. Learn more here.
