A-Volunteers

A-Volunteers include coaches, Unified Partners, chaperones, Local Program coordinators, and heads of delegation.

A-Volunteers are those who have regular, close physical contact with athletes; are in a position of authority or supervision (real or apparent); are in a position of trust of athletes; or handle a substantial amount of money.

If you are not sure if you need to complete the A-Volunteer Application, contact your Local Program Coordinator or Area Director.

In order to be an A-Volunteer for Special Olympics New Mexico, you must complete the A-Volunteer Form, pass a background check, and complete the appropriate training.
